BIRTH STORM & HEADSTANDS

Well the perfect storm of birth occurred this week. I was at one birth on the 1st of July and then on July 3rd two of my expecting mommas went into labor at the same time. Of course my back-up doula was at a birth as well. Thank god for another doula stepping in and covering my butt. The level of anxiety that this caused was mind boggling. The fear of disappointing someone was overwhelming. in the end everyone was happy and got the support they needed. Including me. Needless to say I wasn't able to attend any more yoga classes at Strala. Also they are closed for the 4th of July holiday. So at home among the chaos of my living room I've been working on my headstands. It's a pretty hysterical sight with the twins grabbing at my butt and pulling my hair. While my 4 year old Mia tries to imitate me. Since giving birth to the twins I have lost the strength of my core. It's difficult to even do sit-ups. Doing a headstand is a goal of mine because it requires core strength. Something I am struggling to regain. Immersing myself in yoga is key for me regaining the strength I once had. I am adding a picture of my belly right before I delivered the twins. I'm around 35 weeks. I am looking forward to taking a class or 2 tomorrow with Tara. I am eager to meet everyone this weekend when the training workshop begins. yay.
